About Deductify

What we do

Deductify (legally DEDUCTIFY, LLC) has been shipping iOS software since 2018. That started with Productify, a habit tracker still updated today and published at productifyapp.org, and later Plantive, a plant identifier and care guide at plantiveapp.com. Both are free, both are native, and neither contains ads or trackers.

Running our own products taught us the part of connected software that clients most often need help with: the unglamorous seam where a device, a phone, and a person meet. That became our IoT engineering practice: companion apps for Bluetooth and Matter hardware, provisioning flows, offline-first sync, and the dashboards that make a fleet of devices legible to the people supporting it.

The third strand is Doseline, currently in development: a medication adherence platform giving clinicians and patients one shared record of what was prescribed and what was actually taken. It's the same problem we keep coming back to: information that exists but never reaches the person who needs it in a usable form.

Alongside it we are building CareDuo at careduo.app, the same question answered for families rather than clinics: one person confirms a dose, and the relative who worries sees it without having to phone and ask.

How we work

We're a small team, which is a constraint we've learned to treat as an advantage. It means we take on fewer projects, we keep our own products running for years rather than abandoning them, and every message sent to contact@deductify.org reaches someone who actually writes the code.

On client work there are no account managers between you and the engineers, engagements are structured so you can stop after any phase, and everything produced along the way is yours to take elsewhere.

What we believe

• Privacy by default. Data stays on the device unless there's a clear reason for it to move. We don't sell, share, or mine user data, in our own apps or in the ones we build for clients.
• One thing well. We resist feature bloat. Every addition has to pass a simple test: does this actually help someone use the product, or does it just give us another thing to market?
• No dark patterns. No fake countdowns, no manufactured urgency, no friction-as-marketing. If we want you to upgrade, we say so directly.
• Honest scope. If a project isn't a fit, we say so early. A discovery week that ends in "don't build this" is a good outcome and we'll still hand over the plan.
• Built to last. Productify has been on the App Store since 2018 and still gets updates. That's the standard we hold client work to as well.
