Privacy Policy

How Deductify collects, uses, and protects your information.

This Privacy Policy describes how Deductify ("we", "us", or "our") handles information in connection with our website at deductify.org and our iOS applications Productify and Plantive — Identify & Care (collectively, "the Apps").

Deductify is the data controller for personal data collected through our website and Apps. For general privacy enquiries, contact us at contact@deductify.org. For legally-binding data subject requests (GDPR, CCPA, or equivalent), the named controller contact is gabrielyansuren@gmail.com.

Information We Collect

Information you provide directly. When you contact us via email or our contact form, we collect your name and email address solely to respond to your enquiry. We do not retain this data beyond the scope of the conversation.

Productify — habit data. Habit logs, habit names, and completion records you create in Productify are stored locally on your device using iOS native storage. If you enable iCloud sync, this data is stored in your personal iCloud account, governed by Apple's privacy policy. We have no access to your iCloud data at any time.

Plantive — plant identification data. When you use Plantive's identification feature, the plant image is processed to identify the species. Where possible, identification is performed on-device using Apple's Vision framework. Where a network request is required, image data is sent to a third-party identification API, processed, and not retained beyond the identification response. We do not store plant images on our servers.

Aggregated analytics. Our Apps may collect anonymised, aggregated usage data (e.g. which features are used, crash reports) to help us improve the product. This data cannot be used to identify you individually. Third-party analytics providers, if any, are listed in each app's App Store privacy nutrition label.

What we do not collect. We do not collect payment information (handled entirely by Apple via the App Store), do not sell personal data to third parties, and do not track users across apps or websites we do not own.

How We Use Your Information

  • To respond to enquiries sent via email or our contact form
  • To improve our Apps using anonymised crash reports and usage statistics
  • To provide plant identification results (Plantive only, image processed transiently)
  • To comply with legal obligations where required

Third-Party Services

Apple / App Store. App purchases, subscriptions, and device-level analytics are handled by Apple and governed by Apple's privacy policy.

Plant identification API (Plantive). Plantive may use a third-party plant identification service to process images. The specific service is identified in the Plantive App Store listing. Images are sent only at the moment of identification and are not stored beyond the response.

Website. deductify.org does not use third-party analytics, tracking pixels, advertising scripts, or social media embeds.

Data Storage and Security

User-generated data in our Apps is stored locally on your device or in your personal iCloud account. We do not operate a backend database of user content. We take reasonable technical measures to protect any personal data we do hold, including email correspondence stored in our mail provider.

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction you may have rights including access to, correction of, portability of, or deletion of personal data we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights:

We will respond within 30 days. Because most user data is stored locally on your device, the most complete way to delete your data is to delete the relevant app from your device.

Children's Privacy

Our Apps and website are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us immediately at contact@deductify.org and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of our Apps or website after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
